Production & Delivery

Q

What is your typical production lead time?

A

Standard production lead time is 15–25 days for in-stock fabrics and 25–40 days for custom-dyed/finished fabrics after sample approval and deposit payment. In-stock fabrics can ship within 3–5 days. Custom development (new composition/construction) requires an additional 4–8 weeks before bulk production. Lead time depends on order volume, fabric complexity, finishing requirements, and seasonal production load. We provide a confirmed delivery date on the proforma invoice and update you weekly on production progress. Rush production (10–15 days) is available for an additional fee.

Q

What shipping methods do you offer?

A

We offer sea freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, and express courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) depending on your urgency and budget. Sea freight is the most cost-effective for bulk orders (15–35 days transit), air freight balances speed and cost (5–10 days), and express courier is fastest for samples and small orders (3–7 days). We can ship under FOB, CIF, DDP, or EXW terms per your preference. For DDP shipments, we handle customs clearance and door-to-door delivery. All shipments include tracking and insurance.

Q

What Incoterms do you support?

A

We support FOB (Free On Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), EXW (Ex Works), and FCA (Free Carrier). FOB is our default term for sea freight — you arrange shipping from the port; CIF includes freight and insurance to your destination port; DDP is door-to-door with customs handled by us; EXW means you handle all logistics from our warehouse. For air freight, we typically use DAP (Delivered at Place). We recommend DDP for first-time customers to simplify the import process.

Q

How do you package fabric for shipping?

A

Standard packaging is roll packing: fabric is wound on cardboard tubes, wrapped in plastic film, and packed in woven PP bags. For sea freight, rolls are loaded into containers either loose or on pallets. Custom packaging options include: hanger packing (for ready-to-cut garment production), carton packing (for small quantities or fragile fabrics), vacuum packing (to reduce volume and shipping cost), and labeled rolls with your purchase order and style numbers. Special packaging requests can be accommodated with advance notice.

Q

Can you provide tracking information for my shipment?

A

Yes, we provide tracking information for all shipments. For express courier, you receive a tracking number within 24 hours of dispatch. For sea freight, we provide the bill of lading number, container number, and vessel name with estimated arrival date. For air freight, we provide the air waybill (AWB) number. We also send weekly status updates during production and a shipping confirmation with all logistics documents once the goods are dispatched.

Q

Do you ship worldwide?

A

Yes, we ship to over 50 countries worldwide including North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Australia, and South America. Our logistics team has experience with import regulations, customs documentation, and shipping routes for all major markets. We can recommend the most efficient shipping method based on your location and timeline. For new destinations, we verify customs requirements and import restrictions before shipping to ensure smooth clearance.

Q

What happens if my shipment is delayed?

A

If production or shipping is delayed beyond the confirmed delivery date, we notify you immediately with the reason and a revised timeline. For production delays caused by our facility, we offer expedited shipping (upgrading from sea to air freight) at our expense for the weight difference. Force majeure events (natural disasters, port closures, customs strikes) are handled per the Incoterms agreed on the proforma invoice. We maintain a 5% on-time delivery penalty clause in our contracts — if we miss the confirmed date without cause, you receive a 5% credit on your next order.

Q

How do you handle customs documentation?

A

We provide complete customs documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading/air waybill, certificate of origin (if required), and applicable certification documents (OEKO-TEX, GRS, etc.). For DDP shipments, we handle all customs clearance procedures. For FOB/CIF shipments, your freight forwarder handles destination customs. We can also provide FSPT (Free Sale Certificate), phytosanitary certificates, or other specialized documentation upon request. All documents are prepared in English and can be legalized by your embassy if required.

Q

What is the difference between FCL and LCL shipping?

A

FCL (Full Container Load) means your goods fill an entire shipping container (typically 20ft or 40ft), offering lower per-cubic-meter cost and faster transit since the container goes directly from origin to destination. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your goods share container space with other shipments, which is more cost-effective for smaller orders but involves consolidation/deconsolidation time (adds 5–10 days). As a general rule, orders exceeding 10 CBM (cubic meters) are more economical as FCL. We can recommend the optimal option based on your order volume and destination.

Q

Can you store my fabric and ship in installments?

A

Yes, we offer stock-holding and call-off shipping services for customers with production scheduling needs. We produce your full order, store it in our climate-controlled warehouse, and ship partial quantities as you request. This is ideal for brands with seasonal production cycles or limited warehouse space. Stock-holding is free for 60 days; after that, a nominal storage fee of $0.02/meter/month applies. Each call-off shipment includes fresh quality inspection and documentation.

Q

Do you provide fabric inspection before shipping?

A

Yes, every shipment undergoes 100% fabric inspection before packing. Inspection follows the ASTM D5430 4-point system, checking for defects such as holes, stains, color shading, width variations, and roll length accuracy. The inspection report is included with the shipment documents. For customers who require third-party inspection (SGS, TUV, Intertek), we can arrange pre-shipment inspection at our facility. Any rolls failing inspection are replaced before shipping — we do not ship substandard fabric.

Q

What are your production capacity and monthly output?

A

Our monthly production capacity exceeds 300,000 meters across knitting, weaving, dyeing, and finishing lines. We operate 6 knitting machines, 12 weaving looms, 4 dyeing ranges, and 2 finishing lines. This capacity allows us to handle both small development orders and large-volume production (50,000+ meters) without compromising lead times. During peak season (August–November), we recommend booking production slots 4–6 weeks in advance to secure your preferred timeline.

Q

Can you produce fabric to a specific delivery deadline?

A

Yes, we can commit to specific delivery deadlines and include them in the proforma invoice as binding terms. For time-critical orders (e.g., trade show samples, seasonal launch dates), we offer rush production with guaranteed delivery dates. Rush orders (10–15 day production) incur a 20–30% surcharge. If we fail to meet a confirmed delivery deadline without force majeure cause, we provide a 5% order credit. We recommend sharing your target delivery date early in the development process so we can plan production accordingly.

Q

What documents come with my shipment?

A

Every shipment includes: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (sea) or air waybill (air), certificate of origin (if applicable), quality inspection report, test reports (if requested), and certification documents (OEKO-TEX, GRS, etc. if applicable). For DDP shipments, we also provide customs clearance documentation. All documents are in English and can be authenticated or legalized upon request. Digital copies are emailed 2 days before physical documents are couriered.

Q

How do you handle freight forwarding?

A

We work with established freight forwarders including DHL Global Forwarding, DB Schenker, Kuehne+Nagel, and local Chinese forwarders, but we also welcome your nominated forwarder. For FOB terms, your forwarder picks up the goods at the port; for CIF/DDP, we arrange everything. We can provide freight quotes for comparison or let you arrange shipping independently. Our logistics team coordinates with the forwarder on documentation, container loading, and vessel booking to ensure smooth dispatch.
